Friends for Friends Holds Another Successful Program in East Hills

“Friends for Friends,” an organization founded by Trustee Clara Pomerantz, has a simple goal of promoting friendships and ensuring social inclusion for teenage children despite any learning and social challenges they possess. According to Trustee Pomerantz “the organization creates a rare and positive atmosphere in which children with special needs interact with caring volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the participants. Friends for Friends was inspired by Linda Allen, who passed away from breast cancer in December, 2013. Linda always left a rare and inspiring legacy that it is important that children with special needs to be integrated within mainstream society. The organization is dedicated to helping change these kids’ lives and making a difference.
