SENIORS CELEBRATE SPRINGTIME IN PARIS
WITH SELLOUT AT PARK
With the exceptional singing of performing artist Naomi Zeitlin, the Seniors in East Hills continued to hold spirited, interesting, and exciting events. The Seniors Activities Committee, led by outstanding community leader Irwin Plokin, has become one of the premiere committees in East Hills. The event, held on April 22, 2010 was "warm, friendly and all-around a perfect function for our community" said Mayor Michael R. Koblenz. With dancing in the theatre, music, singing and even an ambiance which transposed the theatre into a French café, the evening was a complete success.
CARMEN KRAUSS NAMED TO PRESTIGEOUS WOMEN'S HONOR ROLL OF TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD
Mayor Koblenz, who joined in Judi Winter's nomination of Carmen Krauss to be recognized as one of the leading women in the Town of North Hempstead said he was delighted over "Carmen's was well-deserved recognition. She is a standout and a simply wonderful civic leader in our community." Mayor's Softball Trophy Tournament Champions Hailed
The championship and victorious team members of the Mayor's Softball Trophy Tournament were congratulated by Mayor Koblenz and the East Hills Board of Trustees at the Board of Trustees meeting held in March. The Mayor thanked the leaders of the program, Peter Wagner and Stewart Faden, who he said had built event into one of the "finest of its kind anywhere. They have performed an important role for our village and this year, once again, we had the finest, most competitive games which were close-fought with exciting action up to the last pitch." SENIORS HOLD ANOTHER SPECTACULAR EVENT
Another popular brunch was held by the Senior Committee with six local comedians. The event received unanimous rave reviews of those who attended. The comedians entertained the residents who enjoyed the humor and the jokes about life, marriage and even shopping. First Class Halloween Function Due to Perfect Planning:

"This was a wonderfully planned and implemented event. We received unanimous rave reviews and the methodical attention to detail showed. Kudos to all involved. It was an excellent function which will now become one of our best annual events for the children and families in our community." Accepting a proclamation is David Waldman, a committee member and co-chair of the Country Estates Civic Association, along with Ms.
Montalbano's son who attended the ceremonies. Mayor Koblenz said the event was "spectacular" and gave all committee members resolutions recording the great achievement for East Hills. Other members who received proclamations included Jodi Wigginton.
