“Green Day,” Great Day in East Hills
Each year, due to the careful planning and oversight of Trustee Clara Pomerantz, local vendors participate in a special day dedicated to informing residents on products and services that benefit the environment. The event, which was held on August 25, 2018, has become an annual tradition for the Village. Trustee Pomerantz stated: “The better our environment, the better our future. Protecting our environment is essential. Through the vendors who participated, we hope to update the residents on environmental programs, advancements and products.”
Several organizations participated in “Green Day” at the East Hill’s Pool. The products included ecofriendly cars thanks to Rallye Acura, energy efficient and solar companies. The vendors also included Roslyn Water, with Chairman Michael Kosinsky, Commissioner Sanford Klein, and representatives from the NYS Public Works and the Wildlife Organization.
Mayor Michael Koblenz expressed the Village’s appreciation to both Clara Pomerantz, and Barbara Kaplan, who produced the event.
