“Hey,” Did you hear about East Hills’ Spooktacular?
The Kids in the Park Committee held it’s “Halloween Spooktacular” on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Princesses, skeletons, super heroes, pirates, and many other scary characters filled the lower field at the Park at East Hills. Children enjoyed a meet and greet with their favorite live characters, interacting with animals at the petting zoo, thrilling mechanical rides, games, jumping on Halloween bounce house attractions, competing in laser tag provided by GameTruck, face painting, watching professional balloon twisting, decorating their own pumpkin, posing at the Spooktacular step and repeat, and having fun with their neighbors. Many of the visitors and guests even enjoyed a special BBQ lunch offered by Jerry and the Stamantinos family from the popular Park Grille. Guests also enjoyed frozen yogurt from the Hewlee Ice Cream Truck. Mayor Koblenz said “the Spooktacular is a perfect way to celebrate Halloween! We are very appreciative to everyone involved in planning and holding one of our Village’s finest and proudest events.”
