Grieving Village Taxes

The Village of East Hills is a separate assessing unit from the county, so you will need to grieve your Village Assessment separately from the County’s assessment. The timeline for Village grievances is February 1 through the third Tuesday in February each year. You can submit the paperwork on your own or use a firm that specializes in Assessment grievances to file on your behalf. The Village’s Tentative assessment roll is available for review at Village Hall and is posted on the website as of February 1 each year, that is the assessment that you would need to use to file a grievance.
